In most audio applications, the Xmidi 1×1 ports should appear as the name of whatever device you attached to them in the Audio MIDI Setup utility.

Uninstalling

Windows XP users should make sure the device is unplugged from the computer before running the uninstaller.

Windows XP Drivers

To install your E-MU Xmidi 1×1 interface on Windows XP:

1. Connect the Xmidi 1×1 to your computer using the USB connector.
2. Insert the CD labeled “Software/Manual Installation.”
3. When the “Welcome to E-MU Software Setup” dialog box appears, follow the onscreen instructions.
4. If you encounter the “Windows Logo- Testing” warning screen, click Continue Anyway.
5. When prompted, restart your computer. Your Xmidi 1×1 is now ready to use.

Setting up the Xmidi 1×1

Connect the Xmidi 1×1 to your computer using the attached USB connector. If you use a hub, it must be powered. When properly connected, the Xmidi 1×1 Power LED illuminates when your computer is on and awake. Windows users MUST install the Xmidi 1×1 drivers from the included CD.
