Setting up the Xmidi 2×2

Connect the Xmidi 2×2 to your computer using the supplied USB cable. If you use a hub, it must be powered. When properly connected, the Xmidi 2×2 Power LED illuminates when your computer is on and awake. Windows users MUST install the Xmidi 2×2 drivers from the included CD.

Mac OS X Drivers

You don’t need to install any drivers for Mac OS X. Simply connect the Xmidi 2×2 to your computer using the provided USB cable. The Xmidi 2×2 will appear as a MIDI Device with two pairs of in and out ports in your Audio MIDI Setup utility. Create and connect the appropriate devices in the Audio MIDI Setup Utility.

Uninstalling

Windows XP users should make sure the device is unplugged from the computer before running the uninstaller.

Mac OS X

In most audio applications, the Xmidi ports should appear as the name of whatever device you attached to them in the Audio MIDI Setup utility.
