Hitachi AXF100W Mini Compo HI-FI Systems User’s Manual
NOTES
Load the cassette tape onto which you want to record in the tape deck, with side A on the top before starting the editing procedure. The tape is automatically wound to the beginning before recording starts.
Note
That even if the tape is slightly longer than the disc’s total playing time, it may not be possible to record all the tracks on sides A and B. If you wish to record all the tracks, use manual recording or CD SRS Recording.
CD EDIT function allows edited recording according to the cassette tape length. This is only operational in combination with the D-R100. Use this function to automatically edit the CD tracks according to the preset length (time) of the cassette tape.
CDs with special shapes (heart-shaped CDs, octagonal CDs etc.) cannot be played on this set. Attempting to do so may damage the set. Do not use such CDs. The remote control unit will operate from a direct distance of approximately 7 meters, but this distance will be shortened if obstacles are present or if operated at an angle. (The remote control unit will operate at an angle of up to 30° in either direction.)
If no sound is emitted from the speakers when the POWER is ON, turn down the volume level and press the POWER button to switch the unit to standby mode, and check to see if the speaker cords are properly connected.
Do not store discs in high-temperature, high-humidity locations. The discs may develop warps and become unplayable. Also, discs with moisture on them may be unplayable. Wipe any moisture off with a soft, dry cloth, and be sure discs are dried completely before using.
Do not move the unit suddenly from a very cold room into a warm room. When a chilled CD player is moved suddenly to a warm location, condensation may form on the pickup lens, preventing proper operation. In this case, wait 1 – 2 hours before resuming playback.
