About the Compact Flash

This digital camera can use both Compact Flash and Micro drive cards for data storage. This manual is written with the premise that Compact Flash cards are used. In this manual, Compact Flash and Micro drive cards are both referred to as “card”. A Compact Flash is not included with Model VPC-MZ3GX

Shooting in the BASIC mode

In the BASIC mode the Scene function-whereby simply by selecting one from a short list of shooting conditions, the suitable settings are automatically completed-is available. Also, only the necessary shooting settings are displayed, making it easy even for the novice photographer to enjoy using this digital camera.

Do not transform, take apart, or modify

Safety mechanisms and protective devices have been in incorporation in the battery pack for the purpose of preventing danger. Any modification, by transforming, disassembling, or directly soldering to it, etc., will defeat these safety devices and possibly cause the battery pack to catch fire, explode, or leak or spew battery fluid.

Image and Audio Data Storage

Your captured images can be copied to the hard disk of a personal computer, or can be printed by a digital print service or with a printer. For copying to a personal computer, please refer to the instruction manual accompanying the provided CD-ROM (Sanyo Software Pack). For printing, use a digital print service or access a network print service.

Please connect the dedicated USB interface cable to your computer’s USB connector. Do not connect it to the USB connector on your monitor or keyboard, or to the USB hub. Be especially careful when installing the driver software. In some instances, it may not be possible to correctly install the drive software.
