Dragging

Touching the desired item on the screen with the stylus and moving it along the screen surface is called “Dragging”. Just as you “drag” the mouse on your computer, use the stylus to “drag” the scroll bar to scroll the screen or “drag” characters to highlight them.

You can save a backup of the data or applications currently held in your CLIE handheld onto “Memory Stick” media. For details, refer to “Backing up data and applications to”Memory Stick” media using Memory Stick  Backup”

Do not remove your CLIE handled from the cradle until the HotSync operation is complete. Also, do not insert or remove “Memory Stick” media or CF card while teh HotSync operation is being performed. Otherwise, the Plam Desktop for CLIE software may not finish normally.

Device name

You can enter a name for your CLIE handheld. A device name is required for each CLIE handheld to be identified. You can display the name setup window by tapping the square box.

Disable device name cache

Another Bluetooth compatible device will be detected whether or not that device name is registered on your CLIE handheld. Discovery will be slower, but the most current device names will be displayed.

Selecting a regional default

When you select the region where you use your CLIE handheld, the display format of the time, date, week start day, and numbers are adjusted to the regional default. For example, in the United Kingdom, times is expressed using a 24-hour clock; in the United States, time is expressed using a 12-hour clock with an AM or PM suffix.

The regional default setting is applied to the display formats of all your CLIE handheld applications. However, you can customize your own settings for each unit, such as time or date.
