Quitting an application

You do not need to save data manually on your CLIE handheld as you do with the computer. All the changes in the application that you are working on are automatically saved, and the last screen you worked on is displayed when you restart the application. Display the CLIE 3D Launcher to switch to another application while you are working on an application.

Using the Scroll bar

Normally, the selection area moves from one application icon to another when you rotate the Jog Dial navigator. You can scroll each line of the CLIE 3D Launcher as follows.

On the Palm OS Standard screen, you can display applications in the list format or in the small-icon format. You can also choose to display your favorite category or last-used application when the Palm OS Standard screen is displayed.

Decuma Input

Decuma Input converts your hand writing into typed text and can be used to input text with any application. Simply write in the input area in the lower part of the screen. The interpretation of your hand writing is displayed in the same place you write.

Some symbols can be entered without activating Symbol mode. You need to write the stroke(S) on the Lower case letter area or the Number area of the Graffiti 2 writing area, depending on the symbol. For details, refer to Graffiti 2 Help on your CLIE handheld. This shows which symbols need to be written on the Lower case letter area of the Graffiti 2 writing area, and which need to be written on the Number area.
