Sparco Harness Bar Installation – Subaru Impreza 02+

INSTALLATION
Assemble the harness support rods as shown below using the provided hem joints and nuts. Leave at least ¼” of thread showing on each hem joint to allow for adjustment during installation. Do not fully tighten the nuts at this time.
NOTE: The smaller hem joint has reverse thread.
On both sides of the vehicle’s interior, remove the plastic upper seat belt bolt cover and remove the upper bolt as shown here. The factory lock washer needs to be removed so the factory bolt can be completely removed from the upper mount. Remove the plastic lower B-pillar cover and pull the carpet kit away to expose the lower seat belt anchor point. Remove the lower seat belt bolt and spacer.NOTE: The spacer will be reused in step 5.
Cut the carpet to allow clearance for the support rod mounting bolt as shown here.
Assemble the mounting hardware for the upper harness bar anchor point as follows and bolt the harness bar into the vehicle (do not fully tighten at this time).
