Without Cable Box

If your cable wire is connected to your TV without a converter or descrambler box, unscrew the wire from your TV and attach it to the ANT.IN jack on the DVD+VCR. Use the supplied round coaxial cable to connect between the DVD+VCR’s RF.OUT jack and the 75 ohm antenna input jack on the TV. With this connection, you can receive all midband, super band, and hyperband channels.

Component Video (Color Stream®) / Progressive Scan (ColorStream® pro) connection

  • If your television is a high-definition or “digital ready” television, you may take advantage of the DVD+VCR’s progressive scan output for the highest video resolution possible.
  • If your TV does not accept the Progressive Scan format, the picture will appear scrambled if you try Progressive Scan on the DVD+VCR.

HDMI has the capability to support standard, enhanced, or high-definition video plus standard to multi-channel surround-sound audio, HDMI features include uncompressed digital video, a bandwidth of up to 5 gigabytes per second, one connector (instead of several cables and connectors), and communication between the AV source and AV devices such as DTVs.

Digital Multi-channel sound

A digital multi-channel connection provides the best sound quality. For this you need a multi-channel Audio/Video receiver that supports one or more of the audio formats supported by your DVD+VCR (MPEG 2, Dolby Digital and DTS). Check the receiver manual and the logos on the front of the receiver.
